Regina McBride grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and after graduating from The College of Santa Fe
with a degree in Drama, moved to Ireland, where she lived for a year before returning to the United States and earning her Masters degree in Poetry from New York University. She is a recipient of fellowships from The National Endowment for the Arts and The New York Foundation for the Arts, and is an Adjunct Professor of English at Hunter College, where she teaches creative writing. Her books have been translated into seven languages.
